Protecting and promoting the interests of
freeholders and leaseholders on the Bournville Village Trust Estate
During the AGM held on the 12th May 2026 the CEO of BVT declared the intention to revise the Scheme of Management. BVT is now publicly stating that the existing Management Charge is insufficient to maintain the Scheme and hence they will be seeking to increase the fees. At the same time the revision has to encompass how the Scheme is governed with a greater say from residents.
For the last few years BFLA have been in discussions with BVT over their claimed expenditures which has reduced the shortfall by £400,000 between 2018 and 2023. The BFLA are here to represent its members and we believe collectively we can positively influence how the Management Charge is derived and more importantly that the Scheme is governed in a democratic manner.
BVT are committed to a period of consultation and we will attempt to keep you informed. BFLA is the only Association which represents the Freeholders and Leaseholders across all the Scheme areas.
